Barbasol PGA Championship

The Barbasol Championship will be held July 19-22 at Champions at Keene Trace.  We have been requested to have Kentucky Wounded Heroes volunteer at this event for a variety of activities.

In addition, we are featuring a special Pars and Pigeons clay shoot on July 17th.

The Kentucky Wounded Heroes are heading to Florida July 25th through July 31st. We will be fishing and scalloping in Steinhatchee, Florida. We are hosting 10 heroes from Kentucky and surrounding states.

The Kentucky Wounded Heroes will be hosting their 11th annual Alaskan trip to Kenia, Alaska.  We will be hosting 12 heroes on this amazing 10 day trip to the beautiful state of Alaska.

Mission Impossible

The Kentucky Wounded Heroes would like to invite volunteers OR those with children 6th-12th grade to come out and take part in this event in Georgetown, KY. This is a fun and exciting FREE event for the entire family!
Mission Impossible is a challenging 8 acre obstacle course. The course is designed to foster teamwork and encourage each participant to develop a “self-less” attitude about everything they do in life, modeled after the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 20:28. The event will include teams of Local, State and Federal Law Enforcement and current/former military veterans and ROTC Cadets who will serve as the “opposing forces” to eliminate and capture the participants as they proceed through the course. Get caught and spend time in the “POW” camp! Watch out for constant “Air Raids!” Beware of Snipers! Get extra points for rescuing a captured pilot.

This event is completely FREE!

FREE food and drinks as well !Parents are welcome to stay and watch and bring a video camera!

The Kentucky Wounded Heroes has partnered with Licking River Outfitter to host 12 heroes from Kentucky and surrounding states to take part in our 1st bow hunt.  This will be an amazing time to enjoy the nature and camaraderie of fellow heroes.

Lake Erie Walleye Fishing Trip

 

The Kentucky Wounded Heroes, Inc. is co-sponsoring our 7th annual Lake Erie Walleye fishing trip June 20-24 2018.  We have 35 slots this year for our police, fire, EMS, and military that have been injured in the line of duty.
As always, we will cover all expenses other than the meal on our drive to and from Lake Erie.  We will be leaving out of Lexington on Wednesday June 2oth.  Weather permitting, we will have three days of spectacular  walleye fishing on Lake Erie.

Reelfoot Lake State Park Fishing Trip

The Kentucky Wounded Heroes, Inc. is co-sponsoring a 4 day fishing trip to Reelfoot Lake State Park in Tennessee on May 16-20 2018 with the American Legion.  This event will provide 8 military heroes the opportunity to take part in 3 days of guided fishing trips at Reelfoot Lake State Park.  Transportation, food, lodging and guided fishing boats will all be provided for this event.

MIDDLETOWN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SECOND ANNUAL GOLF SCRAMBLE ENTRY FORM

CHARITY:        Kentucky Wounded Heroes, Inc. a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity that exists to serve Kentucky’s current or former members of the United States Armed Forces, sworn law enforcement, sworn firefighters, and sworn or affirmed EMS personnel, all of whom have been injured during combat operations or line-of-duty service.  They provide opportunities to hunt, fish, travel and to connect to nature’s healing properties. 

 

ENTRY FEE:     $115.00 (includes: green fees, cart & catered lunch & reception with hors d’oeuvres & prizes afterwards Payment Due:  April 30, 2018 (no refunds)

Send Check to the Middletown Chamber office or call with cc #.  Proper golf attire required (NO denim (jeans) and a collared shirt (or golf mock) is required.

Format:  Tournament will be played in a best ball scramble with 4-person teams. Shot gun start.  If you do not enter a team list, you will be placed with others

Cancellation Policy:

If nine holes of the event are completed by all players & inclement weather persists, the event will be considered complete, with no refunds.  If the club pro deems the course is unplayable with less than nine holes played, the scramble is cancelled with no refunds.

2017 Bowling Green Veterans Parade - Honoring Veterans and Their Spouses

The 17th annual Bowling Green Veterans Parade will be held on November 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM.  This year’s honored Grand Marshal is J.D. Williams and his wife Ashlee.

During his second tour of duty in Afghanistan on October 9, 2010, Army SGT Jack Williams stepped on an IED causing him to become a triple amputee, losing both legs and an arm.  J.D. and Ashlee are an inspiration to all who meet them.  Please join us this year as we honor those that serve both at  home and abroad.

Beau Bietry Annual Golf Scramble

Scott and Cathy Bietry received a plaque to recognize and honor them for their continued annual support of the Kentucky Wounded Heroes organization. Their annual golf scramble is in honor of their son Beau Bietry. Beau had a passion to help those wounded while protecting our freedoms. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members, help injured service members, and provide unique, direct programs and services for our wounded heroes.
